BBQ

Last Monday we had BBQ in our house. We invited all the colleagues at the station. Unfortunately, many staffs are not shown in the pictures below cos the food is too delicious to resist and no one bother to be the camera man. Therefore the pictures shown below are before and after the BBQ.

Lesson from blackout

Few days ago, blackout happened in our house. It was dark and we can't really see anything. But luckily we got candles. At first we lit one candle. It's still dark though.














Then we lit another candle. We can see much better.















It's always good to have more candles than just one candle. But even if there is only one candle, as long as the candle is lit, it still fulfills its function-to light the world.

Fishing

Just now went to fishing with my housemate along the sea side behind our house. This is my first time fishing with a "joran". After an hour of effort, I manage to get 4 out of 9 fish that we got in total - 2 "ikan kacang", 1 "ikan tanda" and 1 "ikan gelama". Not a bad first time for newbie huh..... :)

Few days ago, saw a "1 on 1" fight behind our house. The snakie is believed to be a cobra. Although I didn't stay till the show ends, but I think the snakie won the fight in the end.

J.CO is my favourite donuts that I have ever try. The tastiness is uncomparable.
Last weekend, my colleague bought us J.CO and Big Apple from KL. Just took some pictures before all the delicious and pretty donuts were eaten.


















From tope left hand to right hand, the flavors are Oreo, crunchy, strawberry, banana, mint choco chips and lastly green tea(my favourite).

Someone complains I din't update my blog. So here I am, trying to post one here.

It's about the electric and water bill for the past month. When we received the bills, everyone was shocked to see the amounts we needed to pay. For your reference, electric bill is RM130 while water bill is RM226. Bear in mind that there are 3 person staying in the house. So each one of us need to pay around RM120 just for the bills.

Of course, there are reasons behind the bills' hike. First of all, we got 2 fridge in our house. One is a normal refridgerator, another is a freezer. Currently we have off the freezer as it is the main culprit. As for the water usage, sometimes we forgot to turn off the water tap after we bath. But the main reason is because of the water tank behind our house. Water had been flowing out from it for almost a week before it was repaired. For your info, the water to the tank is coming from the water tap.

But the thing is, maybe we only need to pay for half the bills and landlord will pay the rest. Nego is ongoing. But thanks God for all of this. I really learn a very precious lesson from this. Don't ever waste water and electricity, if not you'll going to pay for it.

la vida laboral

It's 2130 MST/1330 UTC. I'm with two other technical staffs standby at the cable station. All this because of the cable repair for APCN(Asia Pacific Cable Network). Basically it's the cable repair for submarine cable near Singapore.

It's been 3 weeks since I've arrived here. Everyday will be the same routine, including weekends as there is nothing much here. It's a small town by the sea. The only recreational is fishing and strolling by the beach. (For me, catching hermit crabs, fish and crabs using a stick and a container :P). The only benefit of working here is that I got to save more as I only spent for the food, bills, petrol and accomodation, no entertainment at all. It's totally different when I was working in Cyberjaya, where I spent a lot more than here. But I know deep in my heart that this is for the better of our future.

Beach

Beach behind our new house is a wonderful place. It's full of sea creatures for me to capture. :P

Everyday for the past one week, I would go to the beach in the evening to enjoy the view and collect nice beautiful sea shells. And also catch some big hermit crabs, crabs or fish.

The beach is actually full of tiny tiny sea shells.

Pets in the house

I've been staying at the new house for one week. It has been quite an interesting week for me because there are so many pets in the house. Some are really my pets but some are just insects and animals that like to roam around our house. Most of the pets, I got it from the beach behind our house. Some are easy to catch, but some arent't. I even slip while catching the fish. But still, it's quite a happy time. So far, I've got 9 hermit crabs, 2 crabs(hard to catch), prawn(harder to catch), and 2 small fish(hardest to catch). This is my record so far. (I release 9 small hermit crabs and keep the big one).

Half year in Mersing since 02/06/08

I will be working in Mersing, Johor for half year since 02/06/08. For now I am staying at Kassa Inn, one night RM50. But will be shifting to new place soon, RM100 per person per month. Stay tuned for updates.

p/s: The place we stayed now is well known for gold along the beach.

Working place in Cyberjaya

My working place in TM IDC, Cyberjaya. It's a huge, comfortable place. The AGM, Manager and seniors are all very nice. Basically there are enough computers for everyone here. We are also able to watch ASTRO programs which is projected on the big screen in front. I think it's a dream working environment for everyone.

Training at Kuala Muda Cable Station

On 26/5/08 1320, I flew from Sibu to LCCT. I reached LCCT 1510 and took a bus to go KL Sentral at 1530. Then I took a taxi to go to Plaza Rakyat. To make the day worse, it's been raining all afternoon. I managed to buy a bus ticket to go to Sg. Petani at a cost of RM35, RM7 more expensive than normal because of the school holidays. $@#&% The ticket seller told me the bus going to leave at 5pm, but I only left KL at 6pm - so irritated with those who telling lies just to have better business.

During the journey, the bus stopped for 3 times - dinner, toilet, toilet - total waste of time (I bought bread for dinner earlier). I managed to arrive at Sg. Petani South Toll at 2330, thanks God for the safe journey. My colleague came to pick me up 10 minutes later and we straight went back to our hotel - I just want to have a bath and a nice sleep.I didn't enjoy much for the trip at Sg. Petani as we all checked out from the hotel the next morning and straight went to Kuala Muda Cable Station. Then the whole day was all about working.

Luckily, we stopped at Penang on our way back to KL. We took the ferry and I enjoyed the view of both island and mainland from the ferry. We had our dinner and stroll at Gurney Plaza. We officially departed Penang at 2130. We also took the ferry on our way back to mainland. It's quite a night view from the ferry. We reached KL 0330 and we were visited by police car on one of the roads in KL. Luckily everything's fine and we continued our journey back to Cyberjaya. We reached Cyberjaya 0430. I think it's among the longest ever journey by car that I had ever taken. After unpacking and bath, I slept at 0530. I could hear the birds chirping already...... Some picture to share.....
